Hyperpigmentation is a common problem of skin. It darkens your skin especially on your nose, forehead & cheeks. It may be in small area to large areas. Sometimes it affects the whole body. Here are some tips to remove hyperpigmentation with your kitchen ingredients.

Types of hyperpigmentation

There are many types of hyperpigmentation.

  1. Melasma – it is caused due to hormonal changes and commonly develops during pregnancy. The
    most affected area of Melasma are face and stomach.
  2. Sun spots – When your skin is getting excessive exposure of sun rays, sunspots develop on the
    face, hand and the area of skin that is more exposed to the sun over time. Sunspots are also
    known as liver spots.
  3. Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation:- – The reason of this type of pigmentation is any injury or

  4. Some useful kitchen ingredients and also suggested by ayurveda for removing hyperpigmentation.
    1. Aloe Vera
    There are some chemicals found in aloe vera that helps in reducing the hyperpigmentation.
    These chemicals are aloin and aloesin. These chemicals in aloe vera reduce the
    hyperpigmentation by destroying existing melanin cells. They also help in preventing further
    formation of melanin in the skin.
    2. Apple Cider Vinegar

    It contains acetic acid that helps in reducing pigmentation. We can add equal volume of apple
    cider vinegar with water. Apply two times in a day for two to three minutes Rinse with water.
    3. Green tea extract

    Green tea extract is used to light the hyperpigmentation. We can use bags of green tea extract
    twice in a day to get better results.

    4. Milk
    Milk and butter milk helps in lighten the skin pigmentation. Apply the milk on your skin with the
    help of cotton ball twice a day.

    5. Tomato
    Lycopene in tomato helps in reducing the hyperpigmentation. It is recommended to use tomato
    paste for 12 week in olive oil to get best result.

    6. Masoor dal (Red lentils)
    Masoor dal is full of antioxidants. It is supposed to have good impact on skin. Make thin paste of
    overnight soaked dal with water. Apply it on affected area for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
