How to visit Siliserh Lake palace | Best Season | Best time and tips with photo 2022
Siliserh Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alwar (Aravalli hills of Rajasthan}. It is a man–made lake. It was built by Maharaja Vinay Singh in 1845. The main aim is to make this beautiful lake fulfill the need for water for the people of Alwar. There is also a lake palace nearby the lake. That palace was built by Maharaja for his wife Shila. Now these days, it has been converted into a hotel. It is being run by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation – RTDC). Siliserh Lake is spread over approximately 7 square kilometers.
How to reach Siliserh Lake palace ?
It is approximately 13 km far away from Alwar city. The distance from Delhi to Siliserh Lake is approximately 180 km. you can drive yourself or hire a cab/taxi.
Nearest Airport – Jaipur Airport.
Nearest Railway Station – Alwar 16 km away from Lake.
Entry fee – there is an entry fee of Rs. 100/- to explore the Siliserh Lake. You can enjoy one coffee or tea or a cold drink at Rs. 100/-
It is a tourist place and boating facility also available.
Charges for boating ride – Rs. 800/- for six seater motorboat.
What to see?
It is a famous picnic and tourist place. Camera is allowed. You can capture the photos of migratory birds and wildlife along with the beautiful Lake.
The Lake palace is now a hotel at the Lake site where you can enjoy Rajasthan cuisine.
Best season – the best time and season is from November to February.
